Do Whatever?

Years ago, Miley was a clean, happy girl, staring in a cute Disney Channel show called Hannah Montana. Now, ever since those ugly pictures got out, she has become a victim of the Hollywood Monster.

A year ago, it was announced that she was engaged. Since then, she has not got married yet, and it might be called off. I can't say for sure. But after nearly three years, Cyrus has finally released some music. Is this like her girl-gone-bad Can't Be Tamed?

No.

Though it is a party song, it is actually and surprisingly slow. In it, Cyrus sticks up for gay people. Her album states that she can't be tamed. This song says that she also can't stop partying. It's called, 'We Can't Stop'

It starts with a super deep, male voice singing, "It's our party/We can do what we want/It's our party/We can say what we want/it's our party." Some lines suggest her pro-gay views. "It's our party/We can love who we want/We can kiss who we want/We can live how we want."

Describing the party, Miley Cyrus doesn't go into a lot of details, but we can't be sure this isn't the cleanest party. "Red cups and sweaty bodies everywhere/Hands in the air like we don't care/Cause we came her to have some fun."

Also, there is some profanity in here, profanity that not only shouldn't have been mention, but really doesn't make sense. "If you're not ready to go home/Can I get a h--- no." This party is a all-nighter as well. "'Cause we gonna go all night/Till we see the sunlight, alright?"

Cyrus seems to believe that because it is her party and house, they can make up their own rules and do whatever they want. Not only can they not stop, but they just won't."We like to party/Dancing with Molly." (BTW, 'Molly' is short for a certain drug.) "This is our house/This is our rules/We can't stop/And we won't stop."

Though Miley  shows support for her friends, she certainly chooses a weird way to express that support. "To my home girls here with the big butts/Shaking up here like we're at a strip club... forget the haters 'cuz somebody loves ya."

The details of this party definitely suggests that people are 'getting high' "Everybody in line in the bathroom... we are so turned up here."

Though her behavior in the past few years has shown that she has ran away from God, she actually mentions Him. "Only God can judge us," she sings.

"Yes!" I wanted to scream when I heard that line. "And he will judge you!"

In the Bible, God expresses his hatred for homosexuality and other sins that are mentioned in this song.

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality..."  1st Corinthians 6:9
Eph_5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Of course, people who do sin like that can get to Heaven. They just have to repent and trust in Jesus. The problem with Miley's theology of what's right is that, well, it might be her party, but it's God's world. Her life belongs to God, just like every one else in the world.

This whole thing about God will be the only one to judge them is actually true. Since Miley seems to be sinning against Him, He will have to judge her. "....That I am the Lord God who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth." (Jeremiah 9:23)

The saddest thing about this song is that Miley seems to know that what she's doing isn't the best thing to do, but yet she does it anyway. But again, don't we all do something we know is wrong?

Think about it. If everyone lived, loved, did and kissed whoever and whatever they wanted to, what would happen? IF there was no authority, how would this world end up? It would definitely not be a pretty picture, that's for sure.

Well, Miley makes one point pretty clear.
She can't stop partying.

Just like my head can't stop hurting when I hear this song.
